Verena Hartbaum (*1984) received her MA in Architecture and Urban Research from the program a42.org of the Nuremberg Academy of Fine Arts. In addition to her freelance work in the field of architecture and teaching at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe and Technical University of Berlin, she researched on the topic of retrospective architecture. Between 2014 and 2018 she was Research Associate at the Chair of Architecture and Cultural Theory at the Technical University of Munich and has since been working on her dissertation on the relationship between architecture and consensus in the Berlin Republic. Since 2018 she has been a Research Associate at IGmA - Institute for Principles of Modern Architecture (Design and Theory).
