Jetzt Online: Veröffentlichung Videos der Konferenz "Antisemitismus im kulturellen Feld"/ Launch Videos Conference "Antisemitism in the Cultural Field

Die Konferenz Antisemitismus im kulturellen Feld: Zur Post-10/7-Situation in Architektur, Kunst, Film, Musik, Theater und Theorie, die anlässlich des ersten Jahrestages der Attacke am 18. und 19. Oktober 2024 vom Institut für Grundlagen moderner Architektur und Entwerfen (IGmA) der Universität Stuttgart in Kooperation mit der Berthold Leibinger Stiftung, der Stiftung Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, dem Literaturhaus Stuttgart, dem Internationalen Zentrum für Technikforschung der Universität Stuttgart und der Archithese veranstaltet wurde, rekapitulierte die Entwicklungen, und zwar separiert nach den Sparten Architektur, Bildende Kunst, Literatur, Theater/Musik und Film. Ein Abschlusspanel verließ anschließend die Gattungsperspektive und versuchte die Entwicklungen auf einer theoretischen Metaebene zu erklären. 

Die Dokumentation der Konferenz ist ab sofort abrufbar als Online-Stream auf der IGmA-Plattform www.dokumentederarchitektur.de. Die Videos zeigen die Konferenzbeiträge der Panelist*innen und die anschließenden Diskussionsrunden, sowie den Artist Talk mit Kuratorin Sandra Oehy und Künstlerin Dana Arieli, der die im Rahmen der Konferenz gestaltete Ausstellung mit Fotografien aus der Serie Coal Scars eröffnete. Den Abschluss und das Resümee der zweitägigen Konferenz bildete die Abendveranstaltung in Kooperation mit dem Literaturhaus Stuttgart, bei der die Leiterin des jüdischen Museums Frankfurt, Mirjam Wenzel mit dem Soziologen Jan Philipp Reemtsma moderiert von Tina Hartmann und Stephan Trüby ins Gespräch kam.

 Die Videos können auch direkt im IGmA-Ausstellungsraum der Universität Stuttgart angesehen werden, als Teil der anlässlich der Konferenz eröffneten Ausstellung COAL SCARS - photography exhibition by Dana Arieli, kuratiert von IGmA-Mitglied Sandra Oehy. Dana Arieli ist Geschichtsprofessorin und Fotografin, geboren und ansässig in Jerusalem. In der Serie „Coal Scars“ dokumentiert sie seit 2014 bis heute die Narben im westlichen Negev – im Süden Israels. Die Ausstellung ist noch bis zum 23. März 2025 zu sehen. 

// The conference Antisemitism in the Cultural Field? On the post-10/7 situation in architecture, art, film, music, theater and theory, which took place on the occasion of the first anniversary of the attack, was organized on October 18th and 19th, 2024 by the Institute for the Principles of Modern Architecture (Theory & Design) (IGmA) at the University of Stuttgart in cooperation with the Berthold Leibinger Foundation, the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg Foundation, the Literaturhaus Stuttgart, the International Center for Technology Research (IZKT) at the University of Stuttgart and Archithese, and recapitulated the developments in the cultural field, separated into the fields of architecture, visual arts, literature, theater/music and film. A final panel was leaving the genre perspective attempting to explain the developments on a theoretical meta-level.

The documentation of the conference is now available to stream on the IGmA-online-platform www.dokumentederarchitektur.de. The videos show the conference contributions of the panelists and the subsequent discussion rounds, as well as the artist talk with curator Sandra Oehy and artist Dana Arieli, about the context and content of the photography exhibition COAL SCARS which opened as part of the conference. The conclusion and summary of the two-day conference was the evening event in cooperation with the Literaturhaus Stuttgart, at which the director of the Jewish Museum Frankfurt, Mirjam Wenzel, and the sociologist Jan Philipp Reemtsma moderated by Tina Hartmann and Stephan Trüby came into conversation. 

The videos can also be viewed directly at the IGmA-exhibition space at University of Stuttgart, as part of COAL SCARS - photography exhibition by Dana Arieli, curated by IGmA-Member Sandra Oehy, which opened on occasion of the conference. Dana Arieli is a history professor and a photographer born and based in Jerusalem. In the the series ‘Coal Scars’ she documents the scars in the Western Negev - South of Israel since 2014 up until today. The exhibition is still on view until March 23rd 2025.
